South American Scout

As a key member of our Men’s First Team Scouting Team, you will play a leading role in identifying, assessing and recommending talent across South and Central America, including key markets in South America as well as MLS and Liga MX. Combining live and video scouting, you will produce detailed player evaluations, maintain position-specific shortlists and contribute to evidence-based recruitment decisions for both First Team and Emerging Talent targets.

Working closely with recruitment, data and scouting team, you will support the Club's wider recruitment strategy through player identification, assessment and recommendation, presenting findings to senior stakeholders and contributing throughout the scouting process. You will also leverage your professional network to gather market intelligence, conduct character checks and build relationships with player representatives, while setting high standards through the quality of your analysis and scouting output.

You will be available to travel to live games across South America as well as be available to travel to Birmingham on a regular basis (approximately 3 times a year) in order to participate in department meetings.

We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated scouting professional with an exceptional understanding of the South American football landscape and a passion for identifying talent at the highest level of the game.

You must be based in South America or ready to relocate to the region as well as readily available to travel across the continent and be eligible to obtain the Right to Work in South America. Fluent in both English and Spanish (written and spoken), you will possess a proven track record in a senior scouting role, combining expert market knowledge with outstanding player assessment skills across both live and video environments.

You will be a self-starter who thrives working independently, confidently managing extensive travel across the region while building and maintaining a trusted network of contacts throughout the game. With excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail and a proactive approach, you will be capable of producing insightful, evidence-based recommendations that influence recruitment decisions across the Club and wider parent group
